Amazing 4-night stay at Lapa Rios, definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been to. The beautiful room, the view on the Pacifc ocean, the great food, the kindness and professionnalism of the staff, all the animals you can spot so close to you (monkeys, macau, toucans, frogs, etc.). The park of the hotel is a good before-taste of the almost nearby Corcovado national park not to be missed, with great guides

Beautiful and friendly hostel at Pavones, right next to the beach and restaurants. Relaxed, friendly staff and guests. We felt welcome and had a good time cooking meals in the shared kitchen and we were also able to work a little while there.

A beautiful property, right in the jungle with outstanding rooms and facilities. The location was superb - right next to the airstrip and an easy walk into Puerto Jiménez. We saw and heard so much wildlife and went on a spectacular night hike with Osa Wild. The pool area was great and the trails around the grounds were also wonderful. Food and drink was quite expensive, but we could cater for ourselves when we wanted to as we had kitchen facilities in our room.

It is a room in a house, in a short walking distance to everything you may need, with windows open to a nice garden - you will be woken up by birds in the morning. The owner is wonderfully helpful and friendly, you will enjoy his company and advice (and the company of his cat and dog). The place is clean and very convenient. You will share the bathroom. Staying at this place is a kind of good experience by itself, you will be immersed in local life and bring home good memories. Strongly recommended.

If you like hiking and living outdoors; GO HERE. It is so worth the journey from wherever you come from. To get here you have to hike +-30 minutes uphill from Dos Brazos. If you're fit you can take your whole backpack etc with you on the hike, however I'd recommend leaving some of your stuff below so you don't have to take everything along. You can buy some food (eggs/rice/tomato sauce/pasta) in the hostel, however I'd suggest brining your own if you can since they are a bit more expensive on the spot. I hitchhiked from puerto jiménez to Dos Brazos, be prepared to wait some time since there is not a lot of traffic going from the main road to Dos Brazos.

Such an amazing, one of a kind experience! Pure jungle Life! We had such a good time here and out Hosts Liz, Danger, Allison were so helpful and kind. They know a Person for everything and can help you set up some amazing tours. We did a night hike in the Jungle and it was one of the coolest things we ever did.
