Staff were amazing doing their best to give you a great experience. It was obvious that they were passionate about delivering exceptional service: everyone from guides to those serving dinner were fantastic. Most people had worked there a long time and took real pride in the lodge. Nothing was too much trouble. We were heading to their macro tour and the guide directing us there stopped and showed us a laughing falcon. That kind of consideration for our experience was shown consistently during our stay. We took the public bus there from Pital and they kindly picked us up which was really helpful to our budget. Everything is run incredibly well and the bird feeders helped elevate the experience as there was always something beautiful to watch. Food was great and the accommodation was simple, clean and comfortable. The hammocks overlooking the beautiful, peaceful gardens were a bonus

This was the best accommodations of our tour through Costa Rica. A family owned lodge, treated with care and love. Fresh cow milk in the morning to your coffee. We wanted a private fishing experience Costa Rican Style… and we got it as well well as a night tour! The room we stood at, was wonderful, spacious and lovely decorated. It was simply fantastic. Boca Tapada is a very peaceful, rural village… it was a fantastic vacation. Allan, the son, is speaking English well so conversing was fairly easy. Synthia, the wife, is an amazing cook, who treated us with wonderful breakfast and even better dinners! Juan Carlos is from now on my most favorite fisherman! We enjoyed our stay very much and it will never be forgotten!

Peace and quiet in our own jungle room, particularly liked the "glamping" type feel of the lodges - construction from branches and a feeling of being with nature. Restaurant on site which we used for dinner and breakfast. A short walk in the hotel grounds to a river area for private bathing which felt like a tropical paradise!

Wendy was welcoming and informative. The lodge was great lovely inside and outside balconies with fabulous get away from it all views. Great walk to waterfall nearby accompanied by our two lovely dog companions. We would recommend a car for further exploration. Dinner and breakfast were great and prepared by family members for a real at home experience with traditional cooking
