Karole is absolutely amazing. The apartment is on a family estate, it’s beautiful and very well furnished. We felt at home, far from the tourist area, in nature. We saw a lot of toucans and other amazing birds. Thank you so much. We had a blast!

A beautiful location is set back from the main road. There were amazing trails that took you through the forest and along a river. The room was also excellent as well.

The lodge itself was fine, a bit basic but it was very spacious with a nice deck. But what really makes it worth your stay is the beautiful garden!! Birds everywhere such as toucans, aracari and parrots but you can also see horses, lizards, butterflies and more. Elias is a really kind host who helped us book a wonderful night tour and we can also recommend the breakfast. Rio Celeste is just around the corner. Overall really great value for your money!!

Brilliant stay new building which was very clean. Secluded location and seen lots of wildlife right outside our door in the morning with toucans and hummingbirds on trees just outside and even seen a sloth when leaving. Host was very friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend.

Such a nice family owned place. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners are amazing people, and they gave us a tour in their garden with nice plants including cacao and coffee, we also got to go for searching frogs there. Very recommended!

Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and we appreciated all of their excellent recommendations regarding area activities. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!

It is indeed one of our best stay during a 3 weeks travel in Costa Rica. Johnny was the best host that you can imagine. He knows a lot about animals and is very helpful. He recommends nice places where you can do activitys around the area. Especially the night tour and the cacao tour are very nice. The hotel has a small garden with a lots of animals. You can see tucans and frogs around the area. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is very good. This place is definitely an recomendation. It was the nicest place where we have been so far in Costa Rica.
