Clean rooms, friendly staff, rural location, linen and towels were included in the price. Other people have complained about the bathrooms, but we had no problems with the showers, the water was nice and warm, had good pressure and no drainage problems. Also, yes, you have to make your own bed, but this is a hostel, not a hotel, this is normal. At least you don’t have to pay extra for the linen/towels. The windows could be opened and easily let in cool air (another common complaint here = hot room). All in all, a much more pleasant experience than expected after all the complaints on these reviews. We didn’t have time to use the facilities (pool/gym/café), but this would be great if you have the time. We brought our own food, I didn’t see the café being open, so I wouldn’t rely on it for food. The children enjoyed the free air hockey and table football. So definitely worth staying for a night or two, and good value for money.

Everything what we need we can find here. Shower quite big and with hot water and good pressure. Kitchen with all facilities. Room very clear. Owners very helpful and even deliver us to the city when we need it. In the night if the sky is clear it is possible to see stars.

Beautifully appointed, eye for detail, comfortable, lovely beds, warm and cozy in December! And the guys even put a Christmas tree and some traditional dolls in our apartment, plus a nice bottle of wine on Christmas Eve! With a note in Dutch!! So attentive and kind. What a lovely and peaceful property in rural Denmark. We were looking for a charming cottage off the beaten path and Baekgaarden B&B did not disappoint. It was situated perfectly for us to day trip to towns like Odense, Svendborg and Faaborg. The host was very welcoming and provided a delicious and very filling breakfast each morning. It was easy to come and go as we wished. The bathroom had radiant heating in the floor which was very welcome on cold mornings.
