Very comfortable apartment, with an unbeatable view of the surrounding forest. You can observe colilibres right outside your window all day long and toucans in the mornings. There's a trail you can walk through the forest that takes about an hour. The casacadas and tarabita is a short walk away, as well as the ziplining. A taxi into town is $5. The host is very helpful and the restaurant right nearby has a modest offering of traditional food. It's a very tranquil place, nice and quiet, no roosters in the morning, no dogs fighting in the night or discos playing loud music - something to consider when staying in town.

Esther was an amazing host! Helped out with a spider. beautiful surroundings in the forest and really nice food. it’s out of town, so you need a taxi, but we loved the location. Saw 6 toucans and so many hummungbirds

Excellent hostel on the edge of Mindo, but within a short easy walk to the rest of Mindo. The hostel is clean, with comfortable beds and hot water. The best part are the hammocks overlooking the forest - we had a wonderful time just relaxing and listening to the sounds of the birds. Breakfast was included and very tasty. You eat on a garden terrace and watch the birds which was lovely. Staff are friendly, and are able to offer recommendations for activities and food.

The apartment was amazing with an incredible view overlooking the forest. The hotel was located very close to the main section of town - we chose to mostly walk, however taxis were available if needed. The food was very nice, both breakfast and dinner.
