this is a true gem of a guest house. it’s run by warm and conscientious owners who really understand how make the experience memorable. small touches go a long way, including the lovely communal spaces and gardens. the rooms are spotless and the location great. our family found this place a nice respite from a busy aswan.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Dolty Kato Nubian House. Located at the very heart of the Nubian village, this hotel has exceeded my expectations by all metrics. The staff was very attentive to my needs (special shout-out to Ms. Somaya at the reception and Mr. Sameer the manager) and was reachable 7/24. If you want a tour to Abu Simbel, or an authentic massage, or a boat trip, they will arrange it for you in a few minutes. The view from the rooms are amazing, they are right on the Nile. To sip my morning coffee while watching the boats on the Nile was a great experience. The food they serve was also quite authentic (Nubian cuisine) and tasty. Overall, it was worth the every penny I spent there.

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We also ordered lunch which was delicious. No regretting we have chosen the place and we will definitely come back.

Everything was so beautiful, the rooms the whole compound, the views. Astonishing experience, waiting to come back. The food was one of the best I have ever tasted, the people were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and the design very beautiful. The location is amazing, a <5 minute walk from the ferries to go to the east side of Aswan. The room is quite adequate, with good shower and comfortable bed. It got a little cold at night, but I found an extra blanket in the wardrobe, so everything was good. There was free tea and coffee in the common area, and it was really nice being able to socialize with the other guests at the hotel. Habib owns both this property and one next to it, and breakfast is on the roof of the other property. Habib was very accommodating and lent me a charger when I noticed that I had left mine on a dahabiya boat. There are a few dogs around, but Habib and his staff were happy to walk me to places when I asked. I felt very safe staying at Habib's place. I would stay there again the next time I visit Aswan.

    The hotel is on the island, opposite the pier near KFC. The one-way ferry fee is 10P per person in peak season. Our car was parked in the parking lot near KFC, and there were often no parking spaces at night. The house itself is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.
