    A warm welcome back to this lovely gem of a hotel, hidden away in a residential area of Barcelona. The room with small terrace, table and chairs was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was generous with plenty of choice. Staff are friendly and professional. Dog friendly. Onsite parking. We had a lovely dinner too.

    Generally ok but …. The entry to the hotel is not easy in a low car, I scraped the underside front of mine on the way in ( going out was ok). I was aware of a charge for parking but when we arrived we noted it was a big enough car park inside the hotel grounds. I saw the car park charge as a means of upping the price. My fault probably but be aware. Bathroom was small but adequate. The washbasin was in the bedroom. Dinner (tapas) was poor quality.

    Bed was comfy and staff friendly and helpful. Excellent position for visiting Barcelona. The E19 bus runs hourly from close by into central Barcelona. We found that better than fighting through the traffic and finding parking. Food was good.

    We were delighted with the Hotel Arrey Alella. Located in a quiet area, easy to find and it's beautifully laid out. Pretty gardens and terrace, with a pool (much too cold in February though). Onsite parking. The rooms are modern and clean and we received an upgrade to one with a private terrace. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was very good, with some a la carte choices. Great coffee! Everyone was super friendly, lending me a phone charger when mine got lost. Our dog was also welcomed with her own bed in the room.
