The location is great, 2 min. away from the Guggenheim museum. The rooms are comfortable and well thought. The interior of the hotel as well as the terrace are wow 🤩 the breakfast was delicious and there is everything you need. We enjoyed our stay, although it was very short.

A great hotel where everything went perfectly right from the start. From the friendly check in to the check out. I would like to mention the design of the hotel and its location - this is something for people who appreciate chic and comfort. The breakfasts and service at it were also very impressive and that too with the combination of the beautiful view from the terrace. In my opinion this is definitely the best hotel in the beautiful city of Bilbao

We booked the accommodation less than two weeks before our road trip and were pleasantly impressed with the apartment, location, and service. The place is tucked away in a quiet area—very peaceful, with the only noticeable sound coming from planes landing nearby, but it didn’t really bother us. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and they also offer breakfast if you prefer to eat there. The apartment itself was spotless and full of charm—kudos to the hosts for the thoughtful touches that made it feel so cozy and inviting. Unfortunately, it was raining during our stay, so we didn’t get to explore the surroundings much, but the whole area had a calm, countryside feel—green, quiet, and relaxing. Also, a big plus: it’s just a 20-minute drive to Bilbao, which made it super convenient.

I had the most incredible experience at Basoan Hotels during my stay in Spain. It truly stands out as the best hotel I've ever visited in Spain . The location of the property couldn’t be matched, 5 minutes in one direction for the river and Guggenheim etc, 10/15 minute walk to the old town and countless bakeries, cafe/bars and restaurants on your doorstep. We were met by Bernar, the owner of the property who through Google translate was full of useful information and maps of Bilbao. This was our 2nd visit, last year we stayed in the old town and as it was only for one night didn’t get an opportunity to explore. The accommodation is located in Bernar’s apartment, his living area is to the front of the apartment and we had a bedroom, private bathroom and small living/kitchen area to ourselves. It is spotless, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has all you need including hair drier, straighteners, cotton wool pads and box of tissues ( just nice little touches). The living area has coffee/tea making facilities, crockery and cutlery, pods, milk and a some snacks. There was a couple of tins of coke, beer and water in the fridge - very thoughtful. Bernar even left us some pastries from the bakery on Sunday morning which was very kind and they were delicious. He was very accommodating and let us keep our luggage until we left for the airport. Bilbao is a beautiful city, and one of the most pedestrian friendly I’ve ever been to. Walks are plentiful and there are seats everywhere. We walked up to the viewing point where you can look out over the city and mountains in the background - you can also take the cable car if you don’t fancy the walk.

Lourdes was a consummate hostess and we couldn’t have enjoyed our experience there more than we did. It was a place of harmonious tranquillity that I will long remember and look forward to returning to. Lourdes also prepared amazing breakfasts with tasty breads that she herself baked! As a bonus it’s only about 25 mins to Bilbao and close to the ocean as well. In a few words, it was exceptional.
