Beautiful, tasteful home. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect and bike storage and charging was excellent. The bedroom was spacious and bright with a very comfortable bed. The highlight was the very tasty and generous breakfast with a great selection of delicious items and homemade preserves. The free range eggs were wonderful. Highly recommended.

The lady who runs this place is so nice! I became ill and she came to the room and translated with medical personnel on the phone - very compassionate. The rooms are spacious and clean and decorated with a touch of class. Highly recommended!

Superb location very near the town centre yet quiet. The apartment is packed with everything you could need for a short stay, and the small space is well used. Loved the automatic skylight. The host was friendly, helpful and thoughtful. A really great stay and highly recommended.

The apartment is located right in the heart of Avranches, which itself is close to the world-famous Mont St-Michel and somewhat of a gateway into the Bretagne. It was well-equipped and we didn’t lack anything during our short stay: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom all were absolutely fine. The balcony/terrace looked even better in reality than on the photos, even though we didn’t have the time to make use of it.

    Position of hotel was excellent. Charming looking hotel. Very olde world. Great free parking. Very secure. Lovely garden with tables. Bar area and restaurant decor was lovely and very charming.     Everything! The proprietor recommended a Resturant in walking distance for our Sunday evening meal and this too was excellent. Plenty of car parking space. There was good outside garden furniture - we ate breakfast outside. Good hot shower!

    The hotel pleasantly surprised us with its practically furnished concept, comfortable bed and cleanliness. And in addition, the breakfast in the morning was excellent. We didn't use the hotel parking lot, but I recommend it. On the street, a local driver slightly bumped into our car.

    We were travelling up from the south west and needed a place to stop over for one night. We also wanted secure parking as we had electric bicycles on the back of the car and Hotel de La Croix d'Or was perfect. The food in the resturant that night was superb and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice the next morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. We were sorry to have only spent the one night in Avranches and would like to have had the time to explore it a bit more
