Located on GR7, one of the main St Jean de Compostella routes between Fanjeaux and Mirepoix, this stay is a much-needed refuge in an isolated part of the camino. Also a lovely stopover for anyone on a cycling tour. The village of Hounoux stands on a sudden hill with commanding views over the surroundings. Unpretentious, comfortable accommodation and with kindly, welcoming hosts and a view over the Razes that could scarcely be beaten. A garage to store bikes. Hosts attentive and good company at breakfast. I wish them every success. Great value in terms of price and quality of stay.

What a wonderful treat, staying at a genuine apple farm during harvest season! Audrey was an exceptional host and could communicate well in Enhlish. She served a delicious dinner of farm produce, ending with the best apple crumble ever. The room was very spacious, a combination of a modern bathroom and classic bedroom with period furniture from previous generations. We really enjoyed the tranquility. One could comfortably stay a week! On leaving, the farmer gave us some apples - the best tasting ones I have ever had.

Amazing place in the French countryside. Margoux and Serge are two wonderful people and made my stay super comfortable and pleasant. The room itself is cozy, with high level furnishing, and even a little kitchen for your meals. Parking place for cars or bikes is a plus. Definitely recommend.

A beautiful, calm, tranquil location set in stunning countryside near Mirepoix. Stefan was a wonderful host. He provided us with a lovely evening meal at short notice. Lovely breakfasts with home produced yoghurt, jams, cheese and fruit. An excellent base for exploring the area. We also enjoyed the shared area where we could chat and share meals with the other guests.
