the staff, the chef, the owner all were super kind and helpful, we had a tough day and a tougher drive and even had to drive through a flood and 1.5 m high water( flash floods en route to the hotel) , our car was beyond dirty and we were beyond exhausted...we couldn't stop en route for dinner either by the time we reached the hotel it was well past midnight we were starving. The staff knew what we went through and were so helpful they even parked the car for us, though the kitchen was closed they obliged us and cooked all 3 of us a wonderful dinner at 1 am! you can't beat that kind of service, it can't be taught, love this place, and im sure we will be stopping by again !

Delightful property. The host made us feel very welcome, easy off road parking. Fabulous breakfast in the morning with lovely home made cakes, crepes, jams etc. Highly recommend, we only stayed for one night but it would be perfect for a longer stay.

What I loved about this property was the personal assistance from the host Paul. There was a minor issue with the wifi which he sorted out and was most courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and this is what makes it a great place to stay. Highly recommended for this nd its superb location.

Really lovely hotel. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace so we are outside as it was very warm. The food is excellent, with a good choice of a La crate or some fixed price set menus. We had the “gourmet” menu and it was absolutely delicious. We had never tried for tree ice cream but it was a great palette cleanser and the coffee sabayon dessert was superb. Breakfast was excellent, with a range of options and plenty of choice.

We had a gite room (the big one designed for 5 people with 2 toilets and 2 showers, a fridge and aircon). The room was superclean, spacious and nice (nothing fancy though). The facilities were superb (beautiful grounds, great pool, restaurant good for drinks though a bit pricey for food, trampolines, river access, playground, little supermarket with fresh breads, supernice owners and friendly staff). We were not far away from Millau (the little city is a GEM! with lovely pastry shops and restaurants, great to walk) and Tarn Gorges (try cave Grotte de Dargilan, here you can spot vultures circling in the air direclty in front of the cave amazing!!!).

    Hotel de L’Escale Bar is 100% genuine charm. Food is excellent, rooms clean and basic/cosy depending on how much you pay, private/safe parking. Yes, you can find that elsewere but what’s not easy to find is owner with a heart. From entering and rest of the stay you feel at home. The logburner, locals in the bar chatting away, nice and quiet surroundings, all with a genuine feel to it and much appreciated.
