Bernay is a lovely medieval town to visit. Helene is a great host, very friendly and she altered our sleeping arrangements at short notice which was very welcome. The accommodation is great and the secure car parking was really appreciated, A large supermarket close by is very handy. We were in Bernay for one night on a Monday, so the town was very quiet with not many options for food and drink, but on other days I'm sure it has lots of bars and restaurants open. We had a nice meal in Carpe Diem. We will visit again to break up the journey when travelling to our friends in Palluau-sur-Indre. Many thanks Helene!

    Great location and stopping place on route to the île de Ré. Not far off the motorway. Really pretty location with a off road walk just next to it. Food and service was excellent. Plenty of parking.

    Very helpful English speaking staff, made us very welcome and nothing too much trouble. Restaurant food was beautifully presented, served and excellent quality local fresh produce. Dogs were accommodated and we were directed to a traffic free walkway along the stream. The hotel was full of character and individuality, rooms a little on the small side but perfectly suitable for a short stay and the bed was comfortable a lovely stay. Parking on site.
