This is such a great place to stay if you’re planning to explore the cotswolds! The rooms are big, the owners and employees are really nice and the patrons are great too! The pub downstairs serves delicious food and has plenty options when it comes to food and drink. The room and en suite were nice and roomy. I had some of the best sleep in my life here. And you can literally start your hike from here, right in to the most stunning English countryside. We absolutely loved our stay at this family-owned business, and it seems to be a favourite of many locals too. Always a good sign in my opinion.

Our host was friendly and helpful, making a tasty and generous full English breakfast for us every morning, which we greatly appreciated. He readily supplied us with whatever we needed. Good location near the highway to explore the sights in the area, including the Cotswolds, Bath, Oxford, Stonehenge, etc. The room was basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. In the common dining room, a fridge and a microwave were available for use at any time.

Situated in a remote location that allows you to really take in the Cotswolds' quiet and relaxing vibe, with close proximity to Cotswolds' most popular places and villages! Our room was lovely and the beer garden was wonderful and very peaceful! The service was excellent overall. I fully recommend the Plough Inn for those who visit and travel around Cotswolds by car.

In addition, you also get acces to a communal living room with kitchen, which was a great bonus. The kitchen staff knew what they were doing and the people behind the bar were friendly and attentive.

Our go to spot when staying in the area, always lives up to expectations. Location is perfect for travelling to Faringdon, and trip into town is inconsequential. Breakfast is good when you wake up early enough to get it :), finishing at 0900 on weekdays, Lovely bae to wind down on an evening.

We slept very well because of the cosy bed, which was larger than we thought. The peaceful and quiet surrounding was amazing. Contact to owner was great. Coffee and tea have been provided and some cookies. Grilling would have been possible, if wanted. We definitely plan to come again.

It is really cosy, wonderfully furnished and super clean. The Sty theme is great & also sone wonderful photography which really adds to the ambience. The hosts were super friendly & helpful so it was a perfect stopover after a hectic weekend.

    Great location - a heritage building in the centre of an historic market town. Busy, friendly pub with a good choice of ales. Helpful staff, free parking on site, nice beer garden (the weather was great during our visit). We ate in one night, the menu was extensive and the food excellent.

    The location is great, there was free parking and shops etc near by. Clearly signposted and easy to find. Beds were comfy, staff were friendly.

    The warm welcome from the hosts and the locals. Everyone was lovely and chatty. The town has many old buildings and all the facilities you need. The price for 2 nights for me and my son en route to Silverstone was the same price as the car parking at the track. Excellent choice of beers at a really good price. Didn't eat there as travelling around but the food looked good. The room was a bit tired but had a TV and good shower. The window opened out to the Town Square which is pretty. Will definitely stay again. Kind of sad to leave

    Bar staff were lovely, friendly and polite. There was a function on when we arrived and the carpark was full but there was free parking in the market place across the road from the hotel/pub. Pub food in the evening was nice - large menu choice. Bed was comfy, tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

    Lovely stay! The pub is just great, a proper pub that has not been ruined! A lively bar area and then a big separate lounge where we ate and the fish was delicious. Great breakfast in the morning was included downstairs. The room was perfect with a nice view of the square. Free parking nearby.
