estate kares is a great place if you really want to cut off from modern world and enjoy the life & relax. As a person who lives in a city center such places have a very special place in my heart. Beautiful views from the room & whole estate, cool swimming pool. There is everything what you need to have a great vacation. Amazing stars at night and view at the city. Loved this place. Great location close to heraklion but also rural. The old village style of the hotel felt authentic even though it's not, the outside restaurant seating area with views under the trees was stunning.Great food. Most of all I loved the fact that we were made to feel very welcome, Chris and Georges in the restaurant were particularly attentive, chatting to us and answering all our questions. Oh and not forgetting the cats, dog, goats and parrot.

Excellent and very extensive breakfast; excellent lunch and dinner options. Very friendly staff. Beautiful location, literally on the beach. Bus stop 5min walk from hotel with connection to Heraklion city every 15min. Car rental many options with drop-off and pick-up at the hotel.
