Most hikers on the Menalon trail skip Zygovisti - I think this is a great shame, as it's one of the most welcoming little villages I've ever encountered. The house is in the middle of "upper Zygovisti", which means you're immersed in an environment of beautiful mountain and forest views. The house was extremely well stocked with tea, coffee, oranges, fresh local eggs etc. Special bonus was a bottle of local Tsipourou which was really delicious.

Great owners!! Very friendly mother and daughter, who run the b&b and a taverna downstairs. We were hiking the menalon trail and stayed for 1 night with dinner at their place, very good, clean and modern room and tasty local food. The wonderful lady gave us coffee for free in the morning as well! Thank you!

We were welcomed so kindly and had a short but perfect stay at Ortansia. The apartment is very beautiful and spacious and very well equipped. The balcony is huge and has a great view to the mountainside. We loved it there ad can highly recommend this place. 🙂

The two hosts Olga and Elona were always available to assist us in every kind of question. The feeling of the hotel was in a complete harmony with the surrounding area and the historic of Stemnitsa. The owner and his mother were very welcoming and helpful with advice on what to do in the area. The room had been beautifully restored and was very comfortable. Breakfast was great - served by the owner and freshly prepared by his father, with homemade pastries and jams, eggs, toasties, yoghurt - we didn't need to eat again all day!
