The surroundings were serene and the views were magnificent. Having a private warm natural spring bath at the door made it a spectacular experience. For anyone thinking to trek Mt Batur I highly recommend staying here for a night. My private tour was organised by the Villa on the night I arrived for the next morning. There were very accomodating, assisting and provided great value.

Best views we have had in Asia. Fantastic place if you want to go camping but don’t have any of the gear! This was the comfiest mattress and duvet we have had during our whole trip! The staff here are so helpful. They kindly lit our fire for us in the evening, cooked dinner, made coffee and beautiful breakfast overlooking the most stunning views of Mt Batur. Toilets were impeccably clean - so much cleaner than some indoor places we have stayed! Lovely warm shower. Highly recommend as a break from hostels and hotels - absolutely great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay in these apartments! The staff was very friendly, explained everything to us, and showed us around. Our apartment was cozy, very clean, and had an amazing view of the lake, two volcanoes, and the mountains. The room had everything we needed, and the private bathtub on the terrace made our stay even more special – we even took some great photos there. The breakfast was tasty. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back!

We stayed at this place for two nights in June, and honestly, I hesitated for a long time before booking it, because I had read so many negative reviews. Now I’d like to share my own experience and respond to some of those concerns. 1. Location: Some people said the road to the hotel was terrible and even scary. Here’s what I can say: we had a private driver, not a regular taxi, and the road was asphalted almost the entire way. Even in the rain, it was totally fine. Yes, the last 5 minutes have some steep turns, but nothing extreme — any local driver will manage it easily. And here’s something no one mentioned (but absolutely should have): the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the main road, where you’ll find supermarkets, cafes, or can just go for a walk. They will drop you off and pick you up whenever it’s convenient for you. That’s an amazing service, and I was really surprised no one had written about it. 2. Insects: Yes, there are insects. But you’re literally in the mountains, surrounded by greenery — what do you expect? That said, small flies (especially during the day) can be annoying, so I highly recommend bringing an insect repellent spray — it’s a must. Also, bring something against mosquitoes. Just keep the windows and curtains closed after sunset, and you’ll be fine. 3. Kitchen: The kitchen was great — you really have everything you need to cook, and we actually did. The hotel provides basic ingredients like oil, jam, bread, eggs, instant noodles, a few sauces, etc. Plus, the store is only 5 minutes away by car, so you can get anything else you need. 4. Shower and Bath: It’s true — you won’t be able to take long, luxurious showers or fill up the bathtub quickly. But there’s enough hot water for a normal shower, and to be honest, I never really felt like using the bathtub anyway. In most places in Indonesia, bathtubs take a while to fill — it’s not unusual. 5.

    Plenty of parking available, pet friendly, great service, clean. Strategic location near restaurants, very close to Toya Devasya Hot Spring (Though you won't need it becayse they got their own hot pool which is more than enough).

    Joni, his family and the staff were wonderful. I stayed in the lake room which had a beautiful view. Joni arranged a great tour of mount batur hiking and picked us up from the bottom rather than having to walk further back to the car park at the end. He also dropped me off and picked me up from the Hot Springs after. The meals were great and Joni also sorted me out a taxi to my next place at a good price. All in all it was a great stay and I'd highly recommend it to people looking to stay in the area. The hospitality was wonderful!

    This is one of the best locations on the volcano rim, uninterrupted volcano and lake views. Breakfast was basic, and I had the pancake stack again. Wifi was fast and reliable, off street parking for motorcycles available at no charge, not sure about cars, possibly.

    I like the view from the small pool near the parking area. The pool is just everage but you will directly see the Mount and Mt Batur Lake from the pool. The staff is very friendly. All women. They have a multi tasking role such as a bell girls, receptionists, cleaning services, etc The room is clean. Breakfast is free and there is various options of basic menu for breakfast.
