We recently had the pleasure of staying in the Rumah Gadang Tokama and we can't express enough how incredible our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the most warm and hospitable host family. The historic building itself was awesome. The breakfast is incredible - keeps you full for the entire day! Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was ok (no hot water but we knew this beforehand). The location is good and Zico and his lovely family have lots of recommendations for where to visit in the area on motorbike (100k per day)

I loved my stay at Roemah Abode! Devi is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to make sure that her guests are comfortable and well looked after. Roemah Abode is situated in a great location in Harau and is walking distance from two waterfalls. From the balcony you can look out into nature. The property is a labour of love with many plants, vegetables and herbs and animals. Devi's homestay is a great choice if you want genuine and friendly hospitality in a lovely location.
