It has everything you might need/want and more: incredible home cooked meals made with food from their garden, amazing hospitality, stargazing on the rooftop, fast Wifi, big and beautiful rooms, and deep peace and stillness. There is no better place to stay in Leh. The views are the best in the city, and the service and friendliness of the Indus River Camp was beyond anything we could have expected. It's the best Indian food we had during my friend's visit to the country, and all freshly made with seasonal ingredients. The activities were fun and the rooms perfect in size and facilities. If you want a peaceful place to enjoy the Himalayas, you just have to go here. Mary, Nico and the whole team made us feel so welcome, we will definitely come back.

We loved everything about Dakpa House from the location to the cleanliness to the staff and their excellent service. It was nice to be able to walk for 5min and dip our toes in the Indus river and then come back to a great meal served up by the staff.
