The house is beautiful and an oasis of peace in the busy Kerala countryside. The staff is great and you can see it’s a good place to work! The chef is super and we ate there every night. We had a lot of help from the staff to arrange things to do so everything went very smoothly.

I wanted a place where I could be lazy and walk on a long stretch of beach without a lot of people. I got just that being ay Maraui becah. My walk to the beach was a minute. Learning about the fishing protocols was worth the stay too. But what it made it even more special was staying at Telma;s homestay. Telma and Martin were welcoming right away, and their hospitality went beyond a what you could expect from a homestay. I really did not want to leave. It was one of the best homestay’s I have stayed at. Every night I had their home cooked meal and they catered to my request of hot water daily and my addiction to her “just right” masala tea. Which I had to have twice a day. I loved getting to sit outside to eat my breakfast and dinner on the terrace. Their welcoming smiles and commitment to wanting you to be happy was exceptional. I was on my own so being around Telma and Martin felt like “home” and isn’t that what homestays should feel like. Cleanliness in the room and outside was perfection. I highly recommend staying here. I miss them already. Thank you again for everything Telma and Martin!

I had a very nice stay at Babu's Homestay at the end of February 2024 with an excellent price-performance ratio. The house and the room I stayed in were very clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom had a shower with hot water and plenty of water pressure. The hosts were very helpful, the breakfast was very good and filling, the evening meal that I was able to enjoy was the best dinner of my stay in Kerala. Babu is also a tuk-tuk driver and organizes rides at a fair price. Since I already bought a SIM card at the airport, I didn't use the WiFi there and can't say anything about it. The path to the clean, sandy beach is very short, when I was there the beach had some distance to the fishing boats on the left and right, and there were loungers with parasols for rent. There were also a few beach cafes nearby, but compared to Varkala Beach, where I was before, it is very quiet and the bars close well before midnight. The water is not flat and the waves can be very strong, so caution is advised. The water is very warm, as is to be expected on a tropical beach. All in all, I spent a few wonderful days in Marari Beach.

The room is nice. All you need is there. Very clean. It is sourrounded by a romantic garden that you can enjoy from the veranda of thd room.. The location is good just few steps to the beach and to The bus stop. The best part is The OWNER she is so kind and she has been so patient and very helpfull. This was an exceptional hotel experience for our family. I am generally a lazy reviewer but this time around, I feel obliged to give one as this place has exceeded our expectations. The property itself is very well planned with a great nature and a beach that is kept very clean. The rooms are spacious and the services are impeccable. The staff in this hotel are of the best class and I think the staff are their true strength. Very attentive, honest, meticulous and kind. I only have the highest regard for this hotel and its staff.

Everything! The host was excellent. So nice and very helpful. Great breakfast to set you up for the day Fabulous stay. Great location three mins from the beach and the sunsets. Aircon and a ceiling fan too. Very calm here and perfect for unwinding. 20 min walk along the beach to a few bar/restaurants with great food. I recommend 100%

    Nice value for money budget friendly property. Very quiet and peaceful surrounding. Beach is 5 minutes walk from the property. Car parking is available. The host is very friendly and helpful. They offered us nice and tasty homemade complimentary breakfast. This is the place for anyone looking for budget friendly neat and peaceful stay at Marari beach.

    The host was very welcoming and helped us with navigation and parking. There are no direct roads to the homestay so one needs to park nearby and walk. The location is peaceful and the in-house chef made good food. Overall, good hospitality and comfortable stay.

    We absolutely loved our stay here. Right on the beach it was just idyllic. A perfect quiet day after a busy 2 weeks. we were given a warm welcome with secure parking for our motorbikes. The room was fantastic, huge, amazing view, huge comfy bed, tea making facilities, we liked the little sweets when we arrived. we had an open air shower area - it was fantastic. We had our tea on the beach watching the sunset, it was lovely. staff & service was excellent. Thank you team - wish we could have stayed longer
