This home was perfect! A very comfortable room for 3 of us in 2 separated rooms, complete kitchen, clean toilet and nice sofa for relaxing. The best part was the view of northern light in front of the house.. so amazing! TQ host for assisting us in finding aurora : ))

We absolutely LOVED this cottage by the sea. I call it a "cottage" because (in my mind) instead of an "apartment" it seems to describe this freestanding lodging (with no other lodging nearby) better to me. This two bedroom, living room, dinning/kitchen, bath (with washing machine) was perfect for the 3 of us. There was plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped for space. As you approach the cottage, the area looks a bit industrial but don't let that put you off. Once you see the sign "Apartment by the Sea" you feel like you are in a time gone by. The cottage offers privacy, with an unbelievable view of the sea dotted with islands. On a calm morning it is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. We even spotted a seal taking a morning swim. There are several lovely restaurants within walking distance and the town has some shops and walking trails to enjoy. This town doesn't feel touristy but rather authentic Iceland. The owner met us at the apartment with the key and answered our questions.....as he was at the shop next door.....that was a surprise bonus.... the owners also own and operate a lovely boutique shop connected to the cottage giving 20% discount to renters. The building is a historic fishing processing site and built to withstand the strong winds common in this area. There are pictures inside of the original use of the building...oh, what would those fishermen think now. We loved this town and this lodging and highly recommend it.

    The best hotel of our our whole trip: brand new, beautiful building with great view, style, comfort & service. Wonderful room, beds like clouds, good hair dryers (finally!!), free parking, amazing light fixtures in the rooms,…. Very friendly staff. We kindly got free breakfast for our two mornings in the hotel due to the construction still happening outside (which did not bother us at all). 100% recommend for everyone looking for something special.

    We were there for 1 night as a group of 6 people. Location right in the center of Hofn. Walking distance to various restaurants. Large parking lot in front of the building. The apartment itself is large, clean, quiet and comfortable. It has 2 large rooms and a large living room with a kitchen. Nice bathroom. We didn't miss anything while spending the night there. The keys were also collected without any problems. As a group - we highly recommend it! We loved it.

    Wonderful hotel! Excellent location, very convenient to reach all the main attractions. Having a parking lot is a big plus. The view from our room was amazing, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We really appreciated the PIN code access to the room—no need to go to the reception, making check-in and check-out very convenient at any time. Highly recommend!
