Not too far from the main road but far enough that it felt quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff and lovely warm room. Communal showers and kitchen were always clean.

Fantastic place, perfect little room. The place has everything you need in the common areas, multiple sinks in the kitchen, lots of tables and chairs. I saw a washing room as well. Our room for 3 was comfortable and had a sink. Bathrooms outside have no issues, they are decently sized. Note that you can't go up from the kitchens in your shoes and you are requested to take them off for the stairs and your room which are carpeted. This is a self check-in accommodation and you can arrive late, like we did at 11PM. The house is located quite away from anything really, you can gaze stars outside in the night. Note that the road leading here is a gravel road, follow your map closely to make the correct turns.

Room was nice. Check in is located in the Restaurant on the property, so it took us a few to find check in. Room was comfy. Breakfast served was good and had your American and EUR favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, pancakes, cookies, sandwich meat, beans(?), yogurt, coffee and juice. Cannot say anything about the view, since we arrived in the dark and left in the dark.

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 1.9 mi off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge.
