We arrived at Hrafnavellir in a storm (wind speeds up to 20m/s), the first thing the owner did was check the local (!) weather forecast for the upcoming 12 hours and provide us with sound travel advice! Nice, clean and comfortable rooms with a spectacular view, and a fantastic breakfast with possibly the best skyr I've ever had. This is REALLY a must-go accomodation, should you be in the neighborhood!

The family-owned Stafafell Cottages is located on a sheep farm in the countryside, 30 km from Höfn village. Each cottage has well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower.

Very convenient cottage. Spacious for 4 person family. We hiked nearby (200m from flat) Hvannagir Canyon loop, 16 kilometers on 2nd day. Very nice hiking root and nice scenery. Near by lamb farm also nice attraction. Sea and mountain view. Perfect location for Iceland roundtrip.

The cabin we had (for 4 people) feels brand new and is exceptionally clean. It was spacious and had nice little touches (who even needs a magnetic shoe-horn? :P and a dyson hair dryer!) Beds were comfortable, with space around to separate from the other houses. Scenery around is amazing, with the mountains as a backdrop.

Location location location! It's about 10min drive from the nearest Hofn town, located on the farm. You have the view over the fields with grazing horses and we counted 4 glaciers. Very peaceful and idyllic. Can get windy though. Check-in and check-out was easy as the owners live on the property. Cabin is small but has everything one needs. Even the grill.

It is such a lovely house and great location for the one who wishes to get out of the city. Calm area and beautiful view of mountain. The house was nice and clean, comfy beds. Great kitchen and dining area as well. I really loved it and wished I could stay longer.
