Set in woodland, this lovely old property was full of charm and character. The surrounding lush vegetation attracted lots of hummingbirds including mango and swallowtails, making this a birdwatchers paradise. The room was very comfortable and substantial, and we had use of a lounge area which opened to an impressive balcony. Most memorable however was the adorable manager, who was also housekeeper and chef, and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and look after all our needs. With nothing to treat mosquito bites from a previous stop, she even went into nearby Mavis Bank town to buy some antihistamine. She also organised transport and a guide for our hike to the Blue Mountain peak.

From the moment we booked, Nikki reached out and was super kind and ensured we’d have everything we needed. The room was amazing, and the view probably the best you can get in Kingston! We also had a delicious dinner and breakfast cooked for us, which made us feel at home! thanks Nikki, hubby and Sarah for the wonderful stay!

Arrival in Kingston, we were taken care of by the driver, very kind, pleasant who immediately put us before the city of Kingston. Thank you very much Shane. (Respect) perfect driver, very efficient and very professional, good vibes, (we will come back Shane to do blue mountain, ok?) Thank you Tamara for your welcome, thank you for your kindness, your kindness, your patience, for showing us around Kingston in local mode. Helped us as much as possible with the Jamaican exchange. Clean house, clean and spacious room, bathroom ok in all simplicity you welcomed us perfectly. The breakfast is magnificent, fresh food, local cuisine, a real discovery, thank you (I could eat ackee every day.) As well as your homemade juice. We are very happy and grateful to have had this wonderful encounter.. Our absolute favorite during our stay in Jamaica and if life allows us, we will come back to you. The indoor beauty complements the outdoor beauty of the house. Everything is pleasing to the eyes and inviting, there is a great kitchen to cook meals and a large table to enjoy them, as well as outdoor sitting spaces. The bathrooms are stylish and the excellent local art pieces on the wall make the place homey. William, the owner, can tell you anything you want to know about the place and the surroundings, and Nicole who lives in the community up the hill is a great help. Stay a few nights, relax to the sounds of Hope River which flows below, hike up the road to a few waterfalls, book a table at the Pretty Close Ital restaurant nearby, and visit the art center at Papine.

I had a really great time in this gorgeous place in the mountains. Ruth and Bobby are very nice and friendly people and they helped me out with the transportation to their place - recommended some nice hiking trails and helped with renting a car. I had the best start on my travel in Jamaica 🇯🇲. I can only recommend this place a lot to other travelers.
