Very nice and traditional ryokan renovated 3 years ago with a lot of luxurious taste. The hallway to eat diner and breakfast is amazing dated from edo period. Rooms are modern and spacious. The chef was working in refined restaurant in Tokyo before and he is cooking an amazing food, the best I had during my trip in nagano. Staff was nice and friendly. I really recommend.

Host was attentive and gave us a bottle apple juice from her own orchard. Comfortable Place with 3 bedrooms. Kitchen very well equipped with coffee machine, cultery, fridge, toaster, microwave oven etc. Quiet environment.

The service was beyond excellent. I cannot commend the staff enough for their kindness and commitment to making sure we were fully taken care of. In particular, the gentleman who speaks English, he made sure to always check in with us / follow through with whatever we needed. I also loved the fact that there are private onsen rooms, AND private indoor / outdoor onsens available for booking (since both of us have tattoos).

Among all the wonderful properties we visited during our driving tour of Japan, this one stood out as the highlight. From the exceptional service and the spacious, comfortable rooms to the abundant, delicious meals and the relaxing onsen, as well as the serene and beautiful surroundings, our stay at Sekitaitei Ishida was truly memorable. This was a great place to stay on our way driving to Kyoto. It even had a little Onsen which was a plus. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The breakfast wasn’t amazing.
