Beautiful, new build residence. Very low fuss and with stripped back breakfast. But we had complete privacy and a very tranquil setting and enough creature comforts to enjoy a film in the evening. Only a short drive from three towns and the seven waterfalls as well. The bath room/private onsen is wonderful.

Everything! The property feels like home. The place is very tidy, you have ocean view from the common room and your bed. The owners are very attentive. You can rent our, snorkel, bicycle (free of charge) and sup for additional pay. There is coffee for free and well equipped kitchen.

Yamamoto-San is very gracious & hospitable. He prepared a private hot bath for us which was a pleasant surprise. the place is exceptionally clean with a homely feel. Delicious Japanese breakfast set was by meticulously prepared by Yamamoto-San & his wife. We enjoyed our stay. It is recommended that u have a car to reach Pension Sakuraya to enjoy the stay thoroughly

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place with an amazing view. The rooms were lovely, well-equipped, and just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Lovely host family, everything was always super clean, enough toilets and showers (since everything is shared I think that's an important thing to mention), kitchen has everything you need, common room feels nice and cozy, dorm has enough space for everyone to keep their stuff and beds were comfy :)

Great on all accounts. Staff were lovely, the location is great. A really relaxed vibe but with all the comforts you need. Recommend getting a local lobster and asking the staff to use the bbq, so nice.

Breakfast, the view, and the onsen. The staff also went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and even sent us to the train station when we checked out. We are not breakfast people, and always overslept the breakfast timing, but we looked forward, in a way, to receiving the breakfast call every morning. Also, there is a really nice BBQ restaurant attached to the hotel, with fantastic views, fresh seafood/meat, and a really good drink plan.
