If I could give more than 10 stars, I absolutely would! This place is pure perfection. Please, if you have the chance – book the dinner! Suzuki is not only a brilliant chef, but also a truly exceptional host. His kindness, generosity, and hospitality go far beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. Every dish was a masterpiece, prepared with love and presented with joy. We felt so welcomed and cared for from the very first moment. The service, the atmosphere, the whole experience – just WOW! There was absolutely nothing missing. A house with a fantastic atmosphere, lots of space, comfortable furniture and very good bathroom and kitchen facilities. Aircon in all rooms and the pictures gives an accurate impression of the place. The garden is small but charming and offers enough space for outdoor relaxation. The services offered and the communication with the owner was outstanding and based on our needs, helping out with everything from local taxi to bike rental.

A classical old-style japanese house that I had all for myself, humble living but matching the descripotion and has a good vibe. Very friendly and helpful host that welcomed me, recommended activities for my free day, arranged a visit to a neighboring tea farm for me, and even very helpfully drove me to the train station when I was leaving. Might be less comfy in winter for someone but the heating was fine for me. Would stay again anytime!

There are not many accommodation options near Kanaya or Shin-Kanaya stations, and we were lucky to find this ideal little place! Very clean and neat, and just a five minute walk from Shin-Kanaya, where we took a sightseeing train on the local Okigawa train line. We loved our stay here!

Very good and clean presentation, very quiet location at the edge of a small village, Easy communication with the host if there were problems - mainly for translation of the button descriptions on the cooking equipment. For rail enthusiasts it is halfway between the Iwake rack railway and Oigawa steam railway

The place was so pretty and homely! Some parts of the rooms were also built by the owner himself. The owner encourages a lot of interaction with him and between guests as well so it was really homely.

The staff was very friendly and everything was very clean. The onsen had various types of baths, including a large outdoor bath. There was also a restaurant, thought closed during our stay, and a nice relax area with free massage chairs, games and books/manga to enjoy. The house was beautiful with a very nice interior. We loved the tableware. Also, the hotplate was very useful. This area is quite remote and far from the highway. Therefore, it is quiet and peaceful with nice scenic spots. Still, if you are visiting from another prefecture, we recommend at least two nights in a row to fully enjoy your stay. Check-in at 3 pm and Check-out at 10 am can be challenging, especially when you are traveling with kids and during winter season, when the sun sets early.
