Best place out of all the places, very eco friendly, and very comfortable rooms, food was delicious and value for money, staff was great, the safari organised and well presented by the young man Mateo, got some great pics of wild life & leopard, all in all great place. Thank you to all the staff

We had a wonderful time here. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a private pool and a beautiful river view. The bed was super cozy and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and really delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Wilpattu!

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

The team at Raalmadu resort are by far the most accommodating and caring family of amazing people I have ever met. I've travelled the world far and wide for my job over the last 10 years and I've never met a group of people so lovely, so warm, so welcoming, so accomodating and kind. The owner even picked me up personally in his car and drove me 3 hours out to the resort when he found out there was an issue with the organised driver and checked in with me regularly during my stay to make sure all was okay. The resort itself sits on the very edge of the national park and you feel completely immersed in nature, so much so that you can even see elephants right at the resort itself! They come to drink at the pond at the end of the property and cross the river at times too. The food at the resort is also amazing!!! They prepare it fresh for you every meal and they cater to whatever you're feeling like and offer an amazing authentic Sri Lankan cuisine experience . The room is beautiful too and has everything you could need while enjoying the bliss of the jungle. I was even lucky enough to spot a leopard on my safari in Wilpattu. It's so rare to find an authentic gem like this is today's world, where everything is personal, thoughtful, and completely surrounded by nature. I'll be coming back again, not just once or twice, but many times!!! My kind heart felt thank you again Raalmadu, I left my stay feeling like family! See you all again soon!!!

Very good stay for a trip to Wilpattu National Park as Safari Tours are offered and you can enter the park fron the Western Entrance. I made a half day safari and saw leopard and elefants and many more animals. Don´t miss out to go to the beautiful lake just 10 minutes away and to the rice fields - it´s beautiful there! The staff ist very friendly and helpful and the food is good. So overall a perfect stay for Wilpattu!

Our stay at Wilpattu Nature Resort was unforgettable! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful escape right next to nature. We enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals, especially the breakfast and dinner, which were full of local flavors. The highlight of our stay was the kayaking, lagoon safari, and camping experiences. Being so close to Wilpattu National Park, we also joined a thrilling safari and spotted incredible wildlife. The resort even has its own island and two camping sites, perfect for adventure lovers. The peaceful riverside setting, friendly staff, and unique activities like fishing, cycling, and boat tours make this place truly special. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway near nature with a mix of comfort and adventure, Wilpattu Nature Resort is the perfect choice!

Stay was excellent and the staff was very nice from the start of my visit, the room / location was exceptional as its was so close to the Wilpattu national park. During meals we had many options to choose from and the meals were prepared with good quality ingredients as i felt the freshness and difference in the dishes. There was also ample parking available which was great.!!! :) Free Wifi :) :) :)
