Suddenly we booked the hotel .we are not expected like such a welcoming by hosts.it’s such a like small jungle beside the road.such a valuable herbs ,spices and so many fruits in the garden they well maintained. Special thing is we sow so many birds and squirrels were playing around the garden.our room out side was full of flowers and trees Rooms are neat and clean,bed was comfortable with all facilities . Special thing is foods that they made from garden vegetable and home made spices,the best Sri Lankan rice and curry that I ever had.they felt like home to us. Loved see again that beautiful smiles and kindness.

This is a wonderful spot. A bit difficult to reach over a very bumpy road (drove my own car) but it was worth the effort: Surrounded by forest covered Hills, bird calls and the soft gurgling of the pool, delicious meals with a wonderful view and friendly staff. Fantastic sunsets from the rock which is a short steep climb above the lodgings, I became more and more relaxed during the 3 days and nights of my stay. A wonderful opportunity to tune in to an almost pristine and peaceful Sri Lankan environment.

Beyond Expectations Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully designed, the facilities immaculate, and the view simply breathtaking. The pool area offered complete tranquility and privacy — a true oasis of calm. Dinner was exceptional — sincere compliments to the chef for a memorable culinary experience. Breakfast was equally delightful, served in an elegant dining room where every detail, down to the cutlery, reflected thoughtful sophistication. Probably the best holiday destination I’ve ever visited. Dave and his staff have served us with delicious food with home made cake and his signature dishes. Also we've been privileged to taste Dave’s Artisan Teas and experience the Tea making process. Beautiful surrounding with excellent misty weather. The Breakfast was exceptional. Sri Lankan favourite string hoppers and the Freshest fruits with Dave's homemade Marmalade and Jams. The best Curd I've ever had. Oh I love the coffee Dave offered!! Super clean rooms and awesome library room with lots of splendid books. Oh we miss Charley so badly.. adorable companion.. :) I would give my highest recommendation and I will definitely visit again! thank you David and the awesome team!

Great stay! The place is 10min off the main road which makes it accessible while you have the feeling of being lost in nature. I am a solo traveler traveling with public transport. The bus dropped me on the main road and I walked up to the hotel (but you can also get a tuk-tuk of course). The room was good. The view with the swimming pool is amazing. Cristo, the manager of the hotel, took me for a walk in the forest around the hotel. We also visited the farm that belong to the owner of the hotel. Don't hesitate to ask Cristo for a walk. The staff was nice. The chef made us rice and curry in the evening.

Me and my partner could not be more impressed by our stay here, the views were breathtaking and the staff were wonderful catering to all our needs. Our meals, specified to our requests, were vibrant and full in taste. Supun was very informative of the nature that surrounded us and what wonderful walks were within the vicinity in which he sorted out a local to take us in his tuktuk. If you are considering to stay here I could not recommend it more! Supun in his humble nature eluded to a 10% charity donation from the fee you pay to stay here, so if nothing sways your mind giving a little to charity surely does!!

This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo
