This is a fantastic base for a family to explore Central Otago. We stayed for 3 nights and will be returning as we still didn’t tick everything off our list! Thìs property is beautiful and spacious to return and relax in. A slice of heaven.

My adult daughter and I had a great stay in Waipiata. A big thank you to Deborah for creating a property with such a great feel and for the very comfortable stay. We had a few mishaps on the rail trail and we’re running very late. Deborah went to the trouble of ringing us to check we were ok and waited up until we arrived.

Located beside the Otago Central Rail Trail, Hawkdun Lodge Motel offers free Wi-Fi and free BBQ facilities. All accommodation boasts a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

The home and gardens were stunning. There was so much to look at and enjoy. It was very comfortable and warm. The hosts had lit the fire and the lights were on, it was very welcoming. We loved the pigs and the wee cat! Can’t wait to return.
