We had an amazing time at Ihema Lodges! This place far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until check-out we felt truly looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice details throughout. Enjoying dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the lake was a highlight in itself. The staff was very helpful and flexible and made preparing for our safari in Akagera National Park a breeze. We already miss the tranquility and calm of Ihema and will be sure to return soon. Big thank you to the staff for creating such a memorable stay!

The room, the bed was so comfortable, it was really luxury 5 stars The staff was outstanding , Giovanni at the reception was so helpful, kind, and really knew how to treat the guests and make them feel special The pool was really nice and the views were spectacular At the pool bar we had a fun time with the bartender and the fireplace lit every night made the ambience magical The food also was really good and the fresh pineapple juice was really really good .

This place is a dream! Great location with lovely details close to Akagera National Park. Amazing food (dinner and breakfast) with homegrown ingredients. Plus, the owner is super nice and inspiring to talk to!

Short drive away from Akagera (South Gate). Lovely garden, the staff is the greatest asset as they are very nice, flexible and accommodating. The food is great: very fresh, abundant and delicious. Highly recommended - we liked it so much that we also stayed there on our way back from Akagera.

Akagera Rhino Lodge is a great place to stay near Akagera Park—only 15 minutes away by car. The room was very cosy, with an amazing view of the lake! The restaurant is nice, the food is good, and you can also order a picnic to take with you on safari in the park. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There's hot water in the shower, and the Wi-Fi is decent. I 100% recommend this place for its excellent value for money.
