Warm welcome by owner Philippe and the rest of the team. The place is brand new with very tastefully decorated lodges. The view on Lake Kivu is amazing and the food delicious (the best we had so far in Rwanda!). The eco and community aspects of this project are a strong plus. Lots of activities to do. Once the swimming pool will be ready, this will truly be a little paradise. Getting there by boat from Gisenyi or Kibuye is the best way to get there.

We had an exceptional wonderful stay at Umurobyio Lodge. It's the perfect place to unwind and immerse oneself in the beautiful nature of Rwanda. The Lodge offers everything one would need for an unforgettable holiday.The scenic views from all angles over Lake Kivu are breathtaking. The staff were incredibly attentive, always helpful and friendly, catering to our needs with a warm smile. The hospitality of the owners and the whole team made us feel truly welcome. The food was a highlight - fresh, delicious, and healthy, a feast for both the eyes and the palate.  Our room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable, complete with a spacious balcony offering a fantastic view over the lake.  We had a wonderful experience and we can only recommend the Lodge for a perfect holiday.

What a great place! Paul is very good company and so are the animals. The breakfast was amazing. There are some fancy hotels around but Paul arguably has the best spot of all with great views all around. Definitely recommended.

This property is simply amazing. The rooms are large , very well decorated with taste. The views from the property are simply breathtaking. The staff of the property is simply perfect. We could not dream better place!!! The best kept secret of Rwanda to be discovered!!

We booked a room with four beds, simply because there was no other option in booking. Luckily we were put in a bungalow just with one big bed and it was perfect. It was very simple and very cosy. Breakfast was nice, they even tried to make it a bit different every morning (at least with different fruits). The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. the highlight of our stay was our travel to islands with Honour. He organised a great tour for us. I really do recommend 😊

Jimmy and Becky are the greatest hosts you can ask for. They help you out with anything and are always available for any question. The room is great value for money and superclose to the lake, with a great view on it and next to a very quiet road where you can see the children going to school in the morning. I would give our stay an 11 out of 10 if I could.

I loved the scenery overlooking Lake Kivu. Nirvana has a lovely pool with a good view of the lake.. Also loved the local hut inspired room designs equipped with modern toilet facilities. The location is also a walking distance to the beach side where you can board a boat to get to the natural hot water springs ("volcanic water").
