The location is beautiful! A totally wild and close to nature experience. Our guides, Hardus and Neil, took every small step to make sure our stay was comfortable and nothing was lacking. I'd recommend this to everybody. The game drives were exceptional! Hardus is an extremely proficient guide as well as a MasterChef! Delicious food! Also the support staff working in the background made everything just perfect! The surroundings and.ambience are beautiful! We witnessed so many animals close to the lodge itself! I'd wish we stayed longer!

I had the most wonderful 3 night stay at iMbamuweti cottage! The cottage was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything I could possibly need as I was self-catering. The location was perfect—peaceful, idyllic and wildlife walking literally outside the fence. As hosts, Mike and Laura were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed. The attention to detail was evident throughout the cottage and I especially loved relaxing in the private garden next to the splash pool. The cottage was cleaned daily, and a fire made up for me outside each day. Game drives were organised through the main lodge and I did two of these in the afternoons and had incredible sightings with very experienced and knowledgeable guides. I will definitely return and stay for longer next time. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the African bush.

Meals were great. Rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Michel & Aruna were very welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge about the animals, birds and area. We had elephants in the garden and left tea half way through to go Lion spotting

Lions Place is a fabulous lodge. Located in the middle of a private reserve bordering the Kruger National Park, the hotel provides a luxury experience. Besides being very nice, well decorated and comfortable, it offers several alternatives to tour the area with highly trained guides (Congratulations to JB and Ian for their fantastic work as guides!) The room is very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, a large bathroom with a large bathtub, closets, tea and coffee making facilities, cold water and an incredible view of the savannah. Lions Place also has a swimming pool, and two viewpoint that allow you to view the beautiful scenery, plus the garden where if you are lucky you can find wild animals (we saw a porcupine). JB, who is in charge of the place is the best! Very friendly, welcoming and an excellent guide both in the area and during the full day safari we did in Kruger. At Lions Places you can also request, in addition to the value of your stay, a dinner, which is an unforgettable experience. A French and South African fusion dinner with a starter, main course and dessert, which, weather permitting, is served outdoors. In our case we did a full day safari (exceptional!) and a morning bush walk. Both instances were amazing! We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many other mammals and birds that made the visit unforgettable. A special note to the ladies who run the place, they are very kind and excellent cooks! Totally recommended and we would stay there again.

Absolutely incredible! We enjoyed every single minute to the fullest. Our hosts, Peter and his daughter, were unbelievably kind and helpful – nothing was ever a problem! The accommodation is brand new, modern, well-maintained, and spotless. The entire property is clean and beautifully kept. The ladies in the kitchen were an absolute dream – I felt like a princess! The food and service were fantastic. But the best part was the evening conversations around the campfire – truly unforgettable. I was genuinely sad to leave the lodge. What wonderful hospitality we experienced! The house is large, clean, and fully equipped, and the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife that passed by our terrace and the water pool next to the house including a thirsty elephant and roaring lions at night. Thanks to Rika and her husband, and to the owner, Mr. Venter, for the unforgettable experience, including boeren braai and homemade cake. We definitely hope to return!
