The perfect stay for your African Safari adventure. Expert guides making for excellent game drives - not only did we see the Big 5 & more common/uncommon animals, but we also learnt about real-time tracking, interpreting the sounds, and understanding animal behaviour. Paul & Release were exceptional, and I can not recommend them enough! What also sets the property apart from other safari resorts is the variety and quality of food. Kudos to kitchen staff for providing an elaborate spread that covered all major food groups, was tasty and not repeated. And all this at a relatively affordable rate, compared to similar rated properties. 100% recommended this stay!

What an amazing place in an even more incredible setting! We stayed for 3 nights and from start to finish we couldn’t fault anything! Thank you to the brilliant staff who were always on hand to help with anything, from the house staff to the tracker and guide, these incredible people made this trip even more memorable!

The choice of food and its preparation were excellent. Aaron knew what we would need after an early or late game drive. He specialises in homemade bread and pastries. Yum.The lodge is small and intimate. Perfect for personalised game drives. It shares an unfenced border with Kruger NP. The animals roam free around the lodge. The accommodation was elegant and well-appointed. Sunday, our guide was very thoughtful and knowledgeable. It was very special that Aaron, Victoria and Sunday surprised us with a wedding anniversary dinner for two. The elephant loping around in the (near) background and the hyena watching, hoping for leftovers, just added to the authentic atmosphere!

We had an amazing stay at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge. The location, staff, food, rooms… basically everything was 5 star. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Africa on Foot is located in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The rustic-style camp features thatched chalet accommodation, a bar and a viewing deck with splash pool and sun loungers.

Absolutely everything about Africa on Foot is amazing. Staff are attentive, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. They truly make the the place what it is. Outstanding hospitality (best we have had). Facilities are clean and tastefully decorated. Food.. Just Wowwww! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always a treat. The pools were beautifully located and clean. The rooms were spacious. The morning walks were such a treat. The guides are first class and work hard to show you as much as possible, whilst also giving you interesting information about then bush and its animals. The arvo/night drives were out of this world. We saw soooo much. Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes, birds!! And much much more. This place is a must. Don't hesitate to book. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.
