Hide-san told and showed me everything around the house and gave some advice on where to go in the neighborhood, made a simple yet good breakfast in the morning. We've had a pleasant talk with Hide-san before I left, and he made sure I got on the bus to the Takamori station. I was surprised with being the only one to stay overnight that day, and I felt super comfortable. The arcade machine, the room samurai katana and tanto, the shampoo bar with Hide-san's personal recommendations, the bookshelf with manga in different languages, and the two lovely cats Nuan and Riku who even have their own Instagram - everything was top-notch! Hide-san, I would love to meet you again some day!

They were super friendly and she guided us to the correct location. There was a nice big spot to park our car directly in front of the cottage. We had diner at the table outside and enjoyed the night sky. From here you have great views of mount Aso and also the surrounding edges of the caldera.
