The hotel was in a quiet and great location surrounded by green. The room was very tidy and large enough for 4 people. The breakfast was wonderful. The reception was very helpful and friendly. There was a lot of attractive options for children. They had fun in the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

We were given what felt like our own private apartment, with a separate entrance and the convenience of direct access to our car, which made unloading and packing so much easier. Everything inside was spotlessly clean, beautifully scented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay — you can really feel the care and attention to detail the hosts put into the place. It felt more like visiting a warm and welcoming home than a typical overnight stay. I highly recommend this place not only for travelers heading further south — it’s a perfect stopover — but also as a fantastic base for discovering the beauty of Austria. We ourselves enjoyed a lovely trip to Hallstatt, which was just a short drive away. A truly restful and pleasant experience — we would happily come back!

Gmundnerberghaus is amazing! We were breathtaken by our first glimpse of Traunsee from the property—it was like something out of a dream. Even though there was no staff on-site, the self-check-in and key pick-up were smooth. (At first, the quiet, empty hotel and peaceful surroundings gave us a bit of a thrill after our long drive!) The free minibar was a great touch, especially when no stores or restaurants were nearby. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options, all beautifully arranged. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

A beautiful apartment with everything you could need. The little deck was a bonus and you have views over the rooftops to the lake. The complex was secure and safe. There was nothing that we didn’t like. Highly recommend it. It was a nice walk around to Gmunden which took about 45 minutes.
