This is the first 10 I have ever given. The family running the hotel is so kind and welcoming . The views at the hotel are breathtaking. This is also the cleanest hotel we have stayed in across South america and asia. Book your trips through the hotel, they are the same price or cheaper than anywhere else.

The Hotel Monasterio was an exceptional place to stay. Amazing hacienda and garden, furnished with love and taste, and run by an incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful family. The Christmas dinner was wonderful, and a few nights later the chef whisked up another dinner for us at short notice. The hotel is actually within walking distance of the archaeological park and several other beautiful historic sites.

An unforgettable stay in the heart of nature We arrived at the youth hostel in the evening after a long and tiring day of travel. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The setting is simply breathtaking—wherever you look, you’re surrounded by majestic mountains, offering a sense of peace and serenity that is truly priceless after a long journey. The hospitality was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially the receptionist, who welcomed us with genuine kindness and made sure we had everything we needed. The facilities were impeccably clean, and our room was both comfortable and well-maintained, despite the natural surroundings. The decor perfectly balances tradition and relaxation, creating a cozy, zen-like ambiance that makes it easy to unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast on the rooftop—a delicious meal enjoyed with a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains. If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay while exploring the beautiful region of San Agustín, we highly recommend this hostel. Whether for a short getaway or a longer visit, it’s the perfect spot to recharge and immerse yourself in nature. We would definitely come back!
