The place was absolutely amazing; the nature outside our dome was gorgeous. It was amazing to have a stream, a waterfall, a little lake, fireflies, and hummingbirds basically all for ourselves. And the host was so friendly and accommodating, even moving us to a different dome on his own initiative so that we'd get to see more colibris. The bed in the dome was really big and comfy, and you sleep looking outside which was amazing. There's also an option for sleeping outside on a kind of net bed. It was completely incredible and I'm already looking into coming back soon and bringing friends.

We had an amazing 2 nights at the lodge celebrating my 60th birthday. It was everything we hoped for and more. The staff were brilliant and even made me a cake! The food was good and the setting is just superb. I’ll definitely return when I get the chance.

Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We had a very comfortable stay. Due to a village level electricity cut we were without electricity for a few hours, they brought us candles and lighter to be able to cook. Very nice support.
