Excellent stay, great peaceful location, excellent information from the host and spotlessly clean. It was only a one night stop over for us but had everything we needed and more. If we are back in the area again we would definitely stay longer, very highly recommend thank you.

Everything, clean, tidy honestly the place is stunning. I have managed hotels in the last year and so i know what is expected. Everything is there in the kitchen for what you need. The log fire is lovely and warm. Its so peaceful and relaxing. The bed is so comfy. Ermm defiantly 10/10 :)

    The property is quaint and very clean. In an ideal location for exploring. The owner had thought of everything and there was nothing we needed during our stay. When arrived there was a bottle of wine, teabags and milk in the fridge which we were very grateful for even soap and shower gel. It was like home from home for utensils and kitchen equipment. I loved our stay and would definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

    Compact, clean had everything needed, very thoughtfully put together to ensure I didn't require anything other than clothes and food. Handy parking space and great location in lovely village.

    We had two guys staying at Rivendell to complete some forecourt work in the area. Rivendell is immaculate. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and prepare food. Free parking facilities on site as well which is great. Fantastic communication with Lynne the host. We made a few bookings with her for the same property, and nothing was ever an issue even when Lynne and her husband were on holiday. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future bookings in the area.

    We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cosy cottage. It was very clean, super comfy bed and nice, thoughtful touches from the host. The wine and dog treats were very much appreciated 🙂 The village was peaceful and friendly with lots of local walks available nearby. Good information pack on the local area left by host. The cottage had everything we needed for our relaxing break. It really was perfect. We will definitely be booking here again in the future

    Lovely stay in a comfortable cottage. Cute and cosy. Beautiful roll top bath. Comfortable bed. Very peaceful. Good location for getting out about and only 15 minutes to Carlisle.
