We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at the Thornbury Castle Hotel. Everything was incredible, absolutely incredible. If you think that because it is an old castle then you should expect a dusty old place, you couldn’t be more wrong. The room was spotless (Audley room), the level of cleanliness was 10 out of 10, they even offer an evening tidy up of the room which is complimentary. The food was amazing, from breakfast to dinner. Pedro from the terrace bar, Pedro from the restaurant and Jacqueline from reception were so friendly, polite and helpful, they really went out of their way to make our stay as lovely as possible. We will definitely return to this magnificent place.

Everything! The place was very clean and it was prepared so nice for our stay. Lovely Christmas decorations around and inside the hut. We stayed with our dog, and there was everything that he could need prepared: bowls, towel and even some treats! We were unlucky with the weather but even then the owners helped us as much they could! Definitely looking forward to visit this place again but in the better weather!

Hosts were very helpful, and friendly, property was very clean and very spacious. A nice touch was tea/coffee/milk available on arrival. Ideal for golfers and walkers. Facilities available at Golf club next door Nice walk into town on country road but steep to walk back.

A superb property which gives you the feeling of staying in a castle. The breakfast was great, the spaces where breakfast and dinner are served are breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and helpful! A good place to explore the Cotswolds.

We had a warm welcome from the friendly staff at the Black Horse. We enjoyed staying in an authentic English pub, which had a lot of character and a great atmosphere. The Indian restaurant is delicious and the fridge in our room was stocked with milk, cereal, fruit and biscuits for breakfast. The room itself was peaceful and decorated in a shabby-chic style with a comfy bed. It was nice to have the window open and listen to the birds singing outside, and no traffic noise. On our second night there was a great live band, which was a lot of fun. Nearby there's a small café and it's very close to the Tyndall monument, which we had a view of from our room.

    We stayed here to visit Berkeley castle and then go on to Wales. So it was in a very convenient location. We also had a dog with us. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
