The owners were so lovely. Nothing was too much for them when my daughter felt under the weather. Its family run and even their kids were so friendly too. Teaching my son to play pool. We had tea and breakfast the next morning. The food was delicious. Lovely portions and just a lovely atmosphere all round. The room was beautiful, had everything we needed and lovely, comfortable beds. The furnishings also added an extra touch. It was fabulous. We will 100% be returning.

The place is nice, clean and lovely. Feel very welcomed when we are first day here. Had all refreshments and even real flowers on the table. We even had eggs, bread and butter as well. That is very lovely

Chestnut cottage was great and just what I needed as I was on my own travelling for work in the area. The directions given were easy to follow as I was arriving in the dark. The welcome hamper on arrival was very thoughtful. The cottage was lovely and warm when I got the fire lit. The bed was very comfortable, the whole cottage and outside area was spotless. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to everyone, many thanks for your hospitality.

We loved everything about Oliver West's Beautiful 1-Bedroom Retreat in Scarborough. The apartment was perfect and very good value for our three-night stay. We would highly recommend it to couples for a short stay in beautiful Scarborough and we hope to be able to visit again ourselves in the future. The ground floor accommodation comprises a large kitchen/dining/living room with a lovely view over a back garden area; bathroom/WC with a really good shower, and a large bay-windowed bedroom at the front of the property. We appreciated the provision of essentials such as coffee, tea, and washing-up liquid, dishcloth etc. The bedroom was warm, carpeted and comfortable with an exceptionally comfortable king-size bed and quality bedding. There is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers. A small chest of drawers/dressing table would be a welcome addition but not essential. The apartment was warm, clean, very comfortable and well-equipped for all our needs. Although the apartment is on the ground floor of what appears to be a multi-occupancy property, it was quiet and peaceful. Located a short walk from the South Cliff, with busy Ramshill Road en route, the apartment is perfectly located with shops, food outlets and a decent pub within a short distance. Ramshill Road is also on the bus route to Filey with frequent buses. We received clear instructions about how to access the property from our hosts well in advance and everything worked smoothly. It was very helpful to receive clear information about where to park and a parking disk was provided so that we could benefit from the 3 hour free parking outside the property, and in the wider vicinity. We encountered no difficulties at all with regard to parking thanks to the clear information provided by our hosts. The hosts checked in with us by text message during our stay and were absolutely charming! They immediately dealt with an issue that we raised with them and generally, they impressed as the perfect hosts.
