Adil and Goodwin were hosting and they are very friendly and jovial. We have a shared kitchen to cook food, and rental bicycles to roam around the beautiful Munroe island. And also its lakefront view and they have kayaking as well. I've been in the HostelExp Varkala and liked the vibe there and came here and it's worth it. I was supposed to stay a week but I stayed a month. The property looks even nicer than in the pictures, I’ve biked a lot around the island and this seems to be the best homestay around. Garden is cute and the whole thing is literally 5 meters from river. Food is really good (I had 3 meals per day cooked for me). The best part, though, is the staff who could not be friendlier, more accommodating and helpful, e.g. when I said I’d like to see monkeys, they called someone the same moment and arranged to take me to a temple the following day. Totally recommend.

Very kind owner, very pleasant. Very nice walks around the homestay and boatride in the morning. Very special experience in amazing natural setting with jumping fish in the lake.

Santa Maria Hostel is a nice place to chill in the nature and get to know local or international travellers. It is a bit isolated, but in a good way: not bothered from the outer world, but Apu, the hostelguy helped us to have any needs: he brought us foods, drinks, ordered cab or boat, and so on. And was good that he also easily hang out with us, made us feeling at home. Room was okay, lake view is amazing.

Beautiful location in front of the canal, close to restaurants and kiosks where you can have a cool drink and buy very good basic necessities! The room was perfect, spacious, bright and very clean! Good Kerala food cooked by lovely women! The owner was extremely kind and helped us with everything we needed, we stayed for a week! The sunrise boat ride was magical! Highly recommended!!

Devika and her family are very warm and kind. They made us feel at home. The homestay is peaceful and very clean with a wonderful garden, and Devika cooks the most delicious meals. We did the sunrise boat trip with Devika's father in law, which was beautiful. Thanks for everything!
