Best place we've stayed in India! Everything is clean! Like actually clean! And so comfortable! The rooms are spacious and have natural light, but are also fresh and cool inside even when it's hot outside. Screens on all the windows so we never had problems with mosquitoes. Very quiet and peaceful. The sunsets and stars are magical from the rooftop, and you can watch the local kids playing cricket. The garden is pleasant and we had fresh papayas from the tree. We were allowed to use the kitchen anytime we needed, and the homestay also offers delicious food at good prices. The wifi is good: electricity does cut out pretty frequently everywhere in Khajuraho but it generally comes back within a minute or two, and there is good cellphone reception at Prems Homestay so you can back up with data if you're a digital nomad and need to work. The area is about 15 minutes walk from the main road, a pleasant stroll past wheat fields and water buffalos and friendly children all saying hello. It's like stepping into the past, where everything is simple and kind and safe. You can also easily get rickshaws to pick you up if you don't want to walk. The value for money is fantastic, totally worth staying here even if it's a few minutes farther from town. Prems Homestay has two buildings and a range of rooms with different prices. We stayed in the cheapest one and even that was absolutely perfect. We spent 12 days and could happily have stayed more. Mr. Neeraj and Mr. Manu were so attentive and helpful, by the time we left they felt like friends. They cleaned every day, made sure we had everything we needed, and were also super respectful and chill, so I would have felt perfectly comfortable and safe even as a solo female. Mr. Neeraj speaks perfect English and can answer any questions. They were also kind enough to let us do early check-in and late check-out, and even helped us buy our train tickets. 1000% recommend.

Veda and the rest of the staff were the highlight of Sunrise. They were all so kind and friendly. They generously offered us food for dinner each night as prasad and didn't put it on the bill. The room was simple and functional. Warm water in the shower, which was great. They gave an extra blanket as it was cold at night.

Everything!!! This was one of the best and most comfortable places we stayed in on our trip around India. I was extremely ill when I arrived and they could not do enough for me. The guys were so helpful. People ran about calling the doctor and getting medication etc. They cooked me some plain food. The homestay is also one of the cleanest places we stayed in india. Better than some of the 5 star hotels! It has a very homely feel and a lovely courtyard. The guys are happy to chat if you want and speak excellent English. They will help you arrange any trips or get you anything you need. They got all our laundry done for us as well. I cannot reccomend this place any more highly they were totally excellent!
