Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Ranbirpura

What can I say, we arrived at Dakpa House and simply found the place amazing. We had arranged to check in a little earlier than normal due to connecting flights and could not believe the property was every bit as good as the photos. The owner and his team personnally greeted us on our arrival and guided us as to how best to adjust to the altitude (Ladakh is at a height of approx 3500m we you are breathing 30% less oxgyen than at sea level). We then settled into our room and the view, breathtaking. Each morning we awoke to a view of snow capped mountains and all we had to do was raise our heads from the pillows. Our room was very spacious and would put a number of 5 star hotels to shame. Then the food, every meal was a small banquet with the even meals consisting of no less than 5 seperate dishes and then desert, all freshly prepared with produce they grow themselves. Anything we could think of the chief was more than happy to prepare. We had planned a day trip to Pangong Lake on day 3 and the team even prepared a basket of food and drinks for us to take with us so we could ebjoy the view even futher. After several discussions with the owner, we discovered he is also an experienced rock and ice climber who regularily takes groups climbing. With views of where we could have treked if we had know we would have tried to organise a longer stay in Ladakh and organised a short trek ourselves. We cannot praise highly enough the property, staff and owner for our stay in Dakpa House. It is definately on our list to re-visit in the future.

Chubi Sponbo is a great and relaxing guesthouse to spend you days in Leh. It's comfortable, clean, the breakfast is good and there's an inner garden where you can rest and acclimatise :). It's family run and they are very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back there while visiting Leh!

Excellent hostel. Most comfortable bed in Leh. The room was really really nice. Absolutely loved it there. Nice rooftop to hangout on. Really friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Short walk to centre of city. Highly recommend

Overall there wasn't anything missing from our stay at Thangkop. The rooms were big enough, the breakfast was amazing and cosy and it will be very difficult to find a better host than Wong. His recommendations and advice made every day even better.

Clean, spacious, sunny rooms with big windows with views of mountain ranges to the west. VERY quiet and peaceful location. Rooms are simple but perfect for an extended relaxing stay in Leh and some deep sleep. Good wifi. Only a short walk to the main shopping area. The kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness of the host family is the best part though. They'll make you feel at home, and you'll feel really well-cared for during your stay. *Note that there are absolutely no parking spaces at the guest house. It's located down a narrow pedestrian-only passage off a narrow road, so not ideal if you intend to arrive in your own car.

House of Karma has a peaceful, welcoming vibe. Host was very welcoming and professional. The area is calm and tranquil. Clean and cared for by staff. Shared vast and helpful knowledge of the surrounding areas that tourists like myself would find useful.

I really like the staff! The best place in town to see the stars from rooftop and enjoying the deep conversation with others. I appreciate the ospitality, bed, confronts everything was perfect. Thanks deepak!

Such a sweet host, delicious Ladakhi meals, hot shower (important), and clean and warm room! loved my stay here so much, definitively recommend everyone staying here, especially if you're looking for authentic and warm peaceful experience in Leh 🙏🏔️
