Where do I begin… Local breakfast, friendly staff, helped us with all the problems, great ice cream, the best dogs, great location, beautiful suroundings, big kitchen, cosy living room, good laundry service, I could go on for ever! Loved it!❤️ One of the highlights of our trip and we saw the northern lights!

The house is absolutely amazing with very nice decoration and plenty of little souvenirs handmade. We had a great stay and we were able to see the beautiful northern lights as a plus.

Nice guesthouse very comfortable. Staff really friendly. Very good location for visiting Myvatn area. Kitchen is really good.

I didn't realize before we got there but they also have some adorable looking Cottages that I would have loved to stay at. Anyway, we got a room with private bathroom, it was small but comfortable. The place is in the middle of nowhere, so its dark and the perfect setting to watch the Aurora. Also super close (driving) to the thermal baths, lava fields, and many other awesome things to do in this area. Should I be back in Iceland, I will 100000% stay here again.

Clearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth. A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.
