My friend and I stayed one night at Casa Vespina and honestly didn’t want to leave. Tucked away in nature near Civita di Bagnoregio, this place feels like something out of a dream—especially under the moonlight. The room was beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail. It had that perfect balance of cozy and stylish that makes you instantly feel at home. We were greeted by a super friendly dog who instantly won us over, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming— And breakfast? Let’s just say the homemade chocolate cake alone is worth the trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-immersed escape with warm hospitality and beautiful vibes, Casa Vespina is it. One night wasn't enough!

Amazing staying Nice clean room, all as described Very lovely garden with chairs and tables + covered terrace with sofa. Spectacular view Breakfast pasty on your choice were the best, definitely cooked the same morning, coffee, fridge, fully equipped kitchen zone. It was a pleasure to stay there Parking is free, a couple minutes walk from hotel The nice man met us, helped with luggage to bring upstairs, as no elevator, but only 1 floor up. Also it was very nice, he told us about festive celebrations in a town and it was fantastic

I liked everything. I am so much impressed with everything. The host, the house. If I could I would give 15 in scale 1 to 10. I was a bit in dilemma should I reserve this accommodation since it was cheapest in Italy during my stay. The rating was high but expectation was low. However, everything in the city and accommodation was perfect. Much much better then most I visited in Italy. Nice small town with all what was needed. There are places for eat and coffee. The house is perfect. Nice location, nice inside. Cold in the very hot day. Naturally. Amazing. The breakfast in the near by café in the center is also, very nice from the host. With all this included, I am really in question how is this economically feasible.

Our stay at La Casetta Madonna di Morciano was an unforgettable experience that beautifully blended history, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. Nestled at the foot of Bagnoregio on the grounds of a former monastery founded by followers of St. Francis of Assisi, this property offers a truly unique retreat with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. What makes this place extraordinary is the dedication and passion of its sole owner and host, Mr. Dante. Transforming this consecrated monastery and chapel into guest accommodations was a true labor of love, it took an incredible 15 years to obtain all the necessary permits, including special authorization from the Vatican. Mr. Dante’s perseverance and vision are evident in every corner of the property, and he takes genuine pleasure when guests appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of his lifelong project. The gardens are a highlight, especially in early June when arches of flowering jasmine and a variety of vibrant blooms fill the air with their fragrance. Ancient olive trees, some nearly 30 years old and planted by Mr. Dante himself, add to the sense of history and tranquility. He even produces his own olive oil from the orchard on site, a testament to his deep connection with the land. Accommodations are spread across several charming buildings, each with a private bathroom for comfort and privacy. Breakfast is a delightful selection of sweet pastries, and guests can make their own coffee using a capsule machine with a milk frother, perfect for crafting your own cappuccino. Whether you choose to enjoy breakfast indoors or outside on the terrace, you’re surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the gardens. After a day exploring Civita di Bagnoregio and the surrounding region, the small plunge pool is a refreshing treat. We loved absolutely everything! The host was incredibly kind, the room was enormous (half a house), and the breakfast table was fully set. There was plenty of local food and drinks, along with the option to make coffee yourself. The atmosphere was cozy and delightful, and the price was excellent.
