Fantastic remote place where a small villa & private terrace/garden with BBQ is awaiting you. Very quiet and peaceful location for city birds who want to rest with a stunning view on sea and Stromboli. Sunset not to be missed. The host is incredibly welcoming and helpful.

It's an extremely nice place. It's a bit out of town, which guarantees quietness and privacy. There is a fantastic garden where the guest rooms are located. A good local breakfast was served in the garden. The service was professional and extremely friendly. There is a well-maintained swimming pool in the garden. The town in which the facility is located is very authentic and gives a refreshing insight into the local Calabrian culture. We had one of the most calm and relaxing holidays of our lives there. Here are some additional tips about the town. In Calabria, the typical lifestyle involves eating lunch between 12:30 and 14:30, after which everything closes. Dinner is eaten rather late, from around 7.30pm or even 8pm. Bear this in mind before complaining that a restaurant is closed :-). Our best recommendation in town is: Angolo Divino (they have their own wine, so ask for it :-)), Kiosko03 (only seasonal), a nice place for appetisers, Logudoro (local Calabrian cuisine and fried specialities) and Tabata beach bar (a local party place :-); note that they only open for food after 20:00).

We spent an amazing week at Mercurio Hotel! Giuseppe and his team are the most hospitable people we know and are doing everything possible for their guests. They always found time to have a chat with us, gave us nice tips about the surrounding and played all the time with our kids. Our son has celiac desease so every day they prepared something personal for him. Not to speak about the regular breakfast and dinners: everything was very delicious, fresh and abundant. Mercurio is located in Capo Vaticano, very close to the most beautiful beaches of Calabria (Spaggia di Grotticelle, di Riaci, Formicoli). You will definitely not hesitate to choose this hotel for your stay in Calabria!

    The apartment was perfect. Beds were comfortable. Rooms spacious. Clean. Airy. Location excellent. The balony/patio area was large and we could view the Messina strait from it. The host, Giovanni, was welcoming in the true Calabrian style, and generous with his gifts. We could not have asked for a better host. I did not want to leave.
