It was absolutely fantastic! We were so delighted to be in such a paradise as a final chill out of our one month's trip in Sri Lanka. It was probably our best accommodation! Nobody is there,just quite fishermen ,who are always busy with fishing and repairing nets. This fresh fish we ate every evening, cooked in different ways ( the prices were also amazing friendly). Very clean,made with love,room with a terrace right on the seaside. Super friendly hosts! If you need to go to the village, they can drop you with tuk tuk(10min). Very clean area in general. Kilometers of empty beach,swimming is great there. Highly recommended!!! Thanks very much, Rexy and his big family!!

I've stayed in at least 100 different locations in Sri Lanka over the years, but Agro Village wins my award for the best rooms. Designed and built by the owner, the rooms are light and airy, with all the plugs in the right places, an amazingly comfortable bed, no mosquitoes, a very good bathroom - with a mop! - and an outside area in the trees. The food is just right too. And he's planning a swimming pool! The price is a lot lower than other places in Kalpitya, if we needed any other reason to come back.

Wind Blend Kite Resort is offering accommodation in Kalpitiya. Among the various facilities are a terrace and a shared lounge. Asian cuisine is served at the restaurant.

Semi remote near the beach but felt secluded. Sound of the nature surrounding the very small resort. Toads, birds, wild donkeys etc. Team fabulous and couldn’t be more friendly :-) Lovely welcome and hot drinks brought straight to room on arrival and beautiful home made food !

Sri and his team went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The service and kindness were truly exceptional. Worth noting: On our second night, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon room—an all-glass, secluded space perched on a sand dune with an ocean view. Waking up there was truly magical. Sri is also an Ayurvedic master. He gave me an unforgettable full-body treatment, and the next morning, we had a yoga session by the pool. In both activities, he not only demonstrated deep expertise but also explained the underlying principles of Ayurveda in a way that was easy to grasp. I highly recommend trying these. At 5 a.m., they had arranged a fishing trip with local fishermen. Although it was too windy to go out to sea, they adapted the plan and taught us stationary fishing on the beach instead. The fishermen eventually caught some small crabs, which the chef prepared for breakfast—such a unique experience. We really appreciated the opportunity to plant a tree with our name in their garden at the end of our stay. The pool overlooking the ocean was also a highlight. If you're looking for an authentic, thoughtfully curated experience by the ocean—one that also aligns with sustainable, long-term goals—this is the place to go. If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.

The location is probably the best for kite surfing, swimming and just relaxing. All hotel’s and kite surfing school’s team memoers were really exceptional and made our stay to an unforgettable experience. So thanks to you all, guys! We will definitely come back.

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)
