The location is phenomenal. The accommodation has incredible views of the rain forest, and you get to experience nature and wildlife on your doorstep. The cottage is spacious and beautifully designed. The pool is large uses the pristine river water. The yoga Shala beside the banyan tree is stunning. Karina, Cedric and all the team are truly lovely humans who bring a lot of love and care to the place. This is such a wonderful escape from the world. A place to simplify and reset and remember the true sense of connection.

I booked a bird tour in the Sinharaja Forest with Achi (Sinharaja Tour Guide – Rain Forest Tours in Sri Lanka) and also decided to stay at his family’s accommodation, which I found very practical. The hosts were extremely kind, polite and professional. They gave me great tips, supported me with all my wishes (for example, I wanted to visit a tea factory in the area) and even helped me arrange a car for my next destination, since there was no Uber available in this rather remote area. The accommodation and the garden are beautifully designed, and you can clearly see how much effort, energy and love the host and his family put into it. The room was very comfortable and lovingly arranged. I also ordered both dinner and breakfast there – the dinner (fried rice) was excellent, and the breakfast was customized to my wishes. Originally, I had only booked one night but spontaneously decided to stay for another because it was so nice and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. I also recommend everyone to explore the nearby town, which is within walking distance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I can warmly recommend Eco Villa Sinharaja to anyone visiting the area.

What a wonderful place and a great adventure. We love the location, the little house is super clean, no mosquitoes and the best natural swimming pool. The food is amazing and the owners very sweet and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it to the moon and back. Highly recommended. Also the organized guided tours delivered more than we could hope for.

The stay was super nice because the room/cabin I had felt like my own apartment and it was perfect to be so close to nature and do the day trips to Sinharaja forest (which the host organized for me) and everything was cared for like a lunch pack and super delicious dinner on request- and great food every morning anyways:)) all of the people working at Sinharaja rest were so kind and helpful! Unrelated to the host, just about the experience in the immediate area: The area around is like a village, then town with paddy fields and everyday life happening, no jungle, that’s only when you enter the Sinharaja reserve with a guide. But that’s the case for all stays in that area.

If anyone asks me where I'd really like to go back, it's right here. The owner has arranged a guide to the forest, the lady is a wonderful cook, and I could sit on the porch all week taking pictures of the surroundings. They were all very kind and willing. This is where I was most satisfied.

The location is idyllic, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty—it truly feels like stepping into a peaceful oasis. The rice and curry were delicious, with generous portions. beautiful location, very peaceful, lovely natural pool, river also runs by the property. The rooms were large and very comfortable,the ceiling fan worked very well,each room had it's own terrace with seating,my room even had a table and chairs to give me the option of eating there if I wanted to.The food was great, even enjoyed a BBQ with a lovely fire nearby, could be a lovely romantic evening had my husband traveled with me. Wonderful place for families or friends, there is a boat with paddles for hours of fun in the river. I spent four nights and it was very hard to leave such a beautiful place.

The property was located in outskirts of Sinharaja Rainforest, which is a great surrounding. The owner, Sarath, was specifically helpful with everything and his kind wife provided us with hot water for our 4 months old puppy.

The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.
