We have booked it as intermediate stop on our way to Merzouga in the desert and were absolutely impressed! We arrived late in the evening and had a lovely welcome with tea and marocain pâtisserie. Even with short term notice, we had a lovely 3 course menu with open fire . Breakfast is included with a rich variety. The service was heartwarming. Tipp: WhatsApp the riad before you arrive since it is quite hidden and not easy to find :-)

A little slice of paradise a few kilometres out from the town centre of Kalaat MGouna (The valley of the Roses) which is easily accessible using public transport. A tranquil oasis with stunning views of the surrounding area. Plenty of terraces to get away from the bustle of modern life and soak in the picturesque beauty. The accommodation is fantastic, Brigitte and the staff feel more like a family. The food was traditional Moroccan, each meal was exceptional. This is one place we will return to again.

Abdou and his family were AWESOME. They gave us all the necessary attention and took care of our stay very well. Always concerned about our comfort and satisfaction, asking if everything was ok, if the food was to our liking, how was our day... The place is very comfortable. While it is hot outside, the accommodation is very cool and airy. In the room there are good blankets and also basic hygiene products. We came looking for contact with the Amazigh culture and we got it. Maroc de Mereveilles is a family home located in a quiet and special village that allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture and live a time of calm and tranquility. The meals are UNBELIEVABLELY good. Freshly made, with love and attention, the presentation of the dishes is beautiful and it's impossible to leave the table hungry! Impeccable cleanliness. All environments are clean and organized. Prices are very fair! Thanks to Abdou and his beautiful family :)

This family owned place is beautifully situated on top of the hill, the views are really worth driving up for. The rooms are nicely decorated and there is a beautiful terrace and indoor restaurant room. We received large towels in our large room with its own balcony with beautiful view and an extra large double bed. The hosts made us feel welcome and accommodated our gluten free diet and helped us with our other questions. It is a place that has heart, and is really a place to come rest after a long journey.

We had an amazing experience here, The hotel owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist us in any way possible. His kindness and willingness to help made our stay truly enjoyable. We stayed for two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast provided was delicious, and we loved the warm welcome we received upon arrival. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kalaqat m Gaouna. Extremely warm welcome by Ali and Nathalie, a fantastic couple with sparkling eyes and a fascination for the area. Ali is native to the region and Nathalie is French. The rooms are very colourful and spacious. The vues are fabulous, especially from the rooftop with 360 degree panorama of the mountains of the High Atlas, as well as the stars at night. We even had the chance to get a small explanation of the star system by Ali, a real expert in astronomy. Excellent Tajine with local products, very rich breakfast and outstanding service. We had a great time visiting the surroundings, the beautiful green gardens and the river area. Ali is the perfect local to inform you about beautiful local walks and treasures.
