Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Bharatpur

Tiger Wildlife Resort was my home for two weeks. Besides the beauty of the place, perfect for those who seek quiet surroundings, what was truly remarkable is the care I received as a guest here. I felt like a VIP, a princess even, as the owners, Gambir, and the rest of the team, went out of their way to make my stay absolutely perfect. I was given what I believe is the best room on the property, with a balcony facing the park, from which every morning I would see all sorts of animals: deers, rhinos, boars and countless birds (among which peacocks and black storks and openbills) The food here is absolutely excellent, always freshly made and very tasty. The chef is so sweet, always doing his best to satisfy my (many!) requests. The safaris and tours were also lovely experiences, as the parks in the area have lots to offer. I recommend taking the time to visit Tikauli and the 20k lake. I also enjoyed walking around the rural village and talking to a few locals who seem to adore foreigners. In general, I would imagine staying here about 5 days is enough to tick all the touristy stuff of the list... unless - like me - you're not in a rush about seeing this and that, maybe you work online and enjoy taking some time away from more mundane life.. then stay as long as your heart feels and discover how wholesome it is to become a Tiger Wildlife family member ! Pros: Warm, welcoming, family-run setting makes it feel like home, perfect for those wanting to live the true local experience. Simple yet clean facilities, complete with hot water, Wi-Fi, and a fan—especially appreciated for a basic, rural accommodation. Flexibility in payment with international transfers to a Nepalese account, ideal if you use digital banking like Revolut or Wise (avoids the hassle of relying on ATMs). For around $115 USD, you get two nights’ stay, local meals, a couple of beers, and three diverse safari experiences (a walking safari, a sunset river trip, and a private jeep safari, which can be cheaper if shared). Limited activities besides safaris, so to make the most of it, you’ll likely want to book 2-3 safaris per day.

I had an amazing stay here. I felt immediately at home. It’s such a nice place to relax, be in nature and spend time with amazing people. Hari is an AMAZING host, he is very kind and makes you feel so welcome in Chitwan. ☀️ I did the full day safari and we saw lots of animals up close, including 2 bears!! Hari knows the jungle so well so we had lunch at an amazing view point. As well as a the safari, I loved the yoga class, jungle walks and beautiful sunsets. 🌅 I extended my stay and was very sad to leave. So I would recommend this homestay to anyone interested in a relaxing jungle visit! Thank you Hari!

Such a beautiful home with the perfect balance of home like but still good facilities like a hotel. You get brought into the family and end up staying much longer than you originally thought you would , highly highly recommend and I will be returning in the future without a doubt. Good value for money and very cool walking safari, but honestly I could’ve just stayed at the house for a week. Great time

I didn‘t know what it means living together in a community but now I know it. I experienced the jungle safari with the jeep and an amazing, english speaking guide, doing some bicycling with the cycles of community members enjoying the sunset at the agriculture, meeting students on the way to school, doing some fishing and collecting snails in the river, eating local food and dancing with the women group. I also enjoyed drinking the clean and refreshing water and taking a shower at the chwadi while talking to the community. The friendly and helpful staff is preparing delicious food by using regional and fresh products.
